Móra la Nova is home to one of the largest railway facilities in Catalonia. Between 1890 and the 1970s, around the railway, the town had an entire auxiliary industry linked to the locomotive depot, which at its peak accommodated almost one hundred locomotives. The museum is recovering the tangible and intangible elements of this history which was on the verge of disappearing forever and is now the inspiration for various future projects in the vicinity of the current railway station.
