The shed of the historic tourist train is the last stage of the Museum tour and is built over part of the old cargo sorting tracks. This facility serves as the logistical base for the historic tourist train project "El Caspolino", where restoration work on the rolling stock is already underway and where maintenance will be carried out once the train is operational.

The construction of the shed was completed in 2011, thanks to many efforts. The shed has four tracks and a surface area of 3,520 square metres, measuring 160 metres long by 22 metres wide. The building houses various steam, electric and diesel locomotives, passenger carriages and freight wagons, among other historical items. Some of these items have already been restored, while others are still undergoing restoration.
