First company in Spain with a passenger railway operator license exclusively for historic trains.

A long journey that began in 2007 to put a historic train into service on the Directes line comes to fruition. Thanks to a grant from the Generalitat, Ferrocarrils Històrics de l’Ebre S.A. (FHE) was established, the first company in Spain to receive a passenger railway operator license exclusively for historic trains, granted by the Spanish Railway Safety Agency.

This license, together with the obtaining of the Safety Certificate, will allow the launch of historic-tourist railway services such as the Tren de l’Ebre or the Caspolino.

In 2022, the museum also obtained certification for its workshop to carry out approved restorations and maintenance of historic vehicles, allowing them to operate on the national Adif network.
A major step forward in the preservation of railway heritage!
