The visitor reception point is at the Interlocking Tower, located on the station\u2019s main platform, about 100 metres from the passenger building in the direction of Zaragoza. <\/p>\n<p>The museum is designed to showcase the old railway facilities, the Direct line linking Barcelona and Madrid, and the broader aspects of railway culture. The museum is managed by volunteers from the Association for the Preservation of Railway and Industrial Heritage, following the most widespread model of heritage conservation in Europe and worldwide with regard to the railway sector. The museum is also promoting, among other things, the creation of a historic tourist train.  <\/p>\n<p>The museum is being developed in different phases and, at present, four clearly defined areas can be visited, each focusing on a different theme: the Interlocking Tower, the locomotive turntable, the rolling stock workshop and the shed of the historic tourist train.
