Its success showed that this event generated great interest among a very diverse audience and should therefore become a regular part of the annual program. Thus, on May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd this year, this gathering will be held for the second time, aiming to bring together different examples of technologies based on the steam engine, led—as could not be otherwise—by locomotives from the golden age of railways. Once again, visitors will have the opportunity to take rides aboard trains hauled by the steam locomotives Cuco, AM105, and Sharp 120, which already participated in the previous edition. In addition, there will be two moving train formations. One will feature the Olot locomotive and the modernist-style coaches C117, C31, and C103, with wooden walls, ceilings, and seats, as well as small access balconies at each end, built between 1923 and 1925. This train will connect the carriage shed with the former company store building, currently under restoration, via a newly built metre-gauge track completed in recent months. These pieces will remain permanently at the museum thanks to a loan from FGC. It will also be a great opportunity to admire other steam locomotives that have not yet been restored but are still very impressive: Bonita, Mikado, Garrafeta, Double Mikado Garratt, and Double Pacific Garratt. All of this will be brought to life by members of the Retrofuturist Nautilus Association, dressed in period costume. The Festival aims to provide a broader view of steam technology, extending beyond the railway field to include other steam-powered elements such as tractors and stationary engines. For example, the Barcelona Fire Brigade will participate for the third time with a steam-powered firefighting pump dating from the 19th century, built in London by the company Merryweather. The firefighters will demonstrate on Saturday, May 2nd, how to extinguish a fire using this cutting-edge technology of its time. Finally, the economat area will feature model railway circuits, also with steam locomotives, allowing visitors to take rides. The full program can be consulted on the museum’s website: www.museuferrocarril.cat. In short, this is an activity designed both for families wishing to enjoy a day discovering this technology and for steam enthusiasts in general. The Museum would like to once again thank all collaborators for their participation: MNACTEC, Móra la Nova Town Council, the Spanish Railways Foundation, ADIF, the Railways of the Generalitat of Catalonia, the Platform for the Defense of the Historical Heritage of the Barcelona Fire Brigade, and the Retrofuturist Nautilus Association."}
